If you want analog, this is not for you. I've got three calipers including this one. One is metric only. Another is inches only. And then here's this one which does both with very good accuracy. It has a good solid feel and the digital readoutis handled by three simple button controls. I frequently use it in preference to the more expensive alternates because it's accurate and I sometimes want to do both inch and metric measurements without having to use a second tool. It does not offer an alternatie analog readout except in the crudest terms.
